Many couples don’t consider what the requirements are to obtain a marriage license. Aside from being physically present at one of the 73 offices authorizing marriage licenses, there are five requirements to obtain a marriage license and be legally married in the state of Oklahoma. Just like heterosexual marriages, same sex marriage is legally recognized in Oklahoma as of 2015.
